Student Handbook

  • This section of the web site, the Student Handbook, is for those who have enrolled as students. It is designed to give some of the details about working on the course modules and how to get the most out of the course. Sections below include the following:

  • If you do not have good Internet access, you may want to save some of the resources to your computer to read offline. You can see how to do this in the section below: Reading the materials online or offline

  • Assignments Each module has one or two assignments. You can see some details about these and how to submit an assignment in the sections called 'Assignments' and 'How to submit an assignment' and 'Tips on writing assignments' below. You should also look carefully at the section 'criteria for a pass'

  • Discussion forums are a vital part of the course. There are some tips about the etiquette of how to use them below in: 'The etiquette of using the Internet'

  • Before you start, you should look at the section below 'Benefits of online learning and learning styles'. These offer a theoretical basis for the learning through the Peoples-uni
